Integrating Photoshop and Illustrator

1. Smart Objects
Placing a photoshop file as a smart object in illustrator makes it so that when you make changes to the photoshop file on photoshop they will be applied to the photoshop file that you have placed on illustrator. Always place objects as smart objects. It links the files

2. Design at 100%
Always design at a level where your artwork is the largest that you plan on using it, rescaling to a smaller size is always better then making something larger. Build to size.

3. No fill, No Stroke bounding boxes
Building a no fill, no stroke, bounding box first and placing it in photoshop will make placing it as a smart object easier later. Makes placing smart objects much easier.

4. New way to rotate
You can just click and use the rotate tool and rotate artboards on photoshop but not on illustrator

5. Actions
Actions can be used to record everything that you do in photoshop and be used later to add the same changes to a later photo. You do this by clicking new action in the action panel and saving the new action. It will then show up in the button mode in the action panel.
